We are Men of Character
The Five Ideals of Alpha Kappa Lambda
Judeo-Christian Principles does not imply that we discriminate in any form. The concept of Judeo-Christian Principles instills in us a moral code; tolerance, integrity, cooperation, and mutual consideration.
Leadership comes in many forms, and we accept all matter of leaders. You
don't need to be the most outgoing person to be a leader in our
fraternity. Leadership opportunities are everywhere within our
chapter and we also keep each other informed of those on
campus.
Loyalty comes with time. Every Alpha Kappa Lambda
man has an ongoing commitment to every other.
Scholarship is something we pride ourselves on. Ranking high on our
campus for our scholastic achievements has been a tradition for many years. We believe in providing the
means to achieve great academics, without forcing study hours. Daily
studying is encouraged, and every semester we make goal grade point
averages, and schedule personal study times which are independently
enforced. Scholarship goes beyond the classroom and grades. We seek
lifelong learners who do not shy away from a challenge.
Self Support is our fifth ideal. We hope for our members to gain a lifelong commitment to personal and intellectual growth. We hold ourselves to high moral standards, and are expected to act responsibly. A self
supported person is not a burden to others.
Our five ideals unite us toward a common goal. The goal of
these ideals is to become respectable men of character in our
society.
